Purple has begun and there are a couple of things to remember. First, there are more than 450 varieties of lavender(give or take) and each has its own color(various purples, blues, pink, yes pink, and even white.). And second,they generally bloom at different times. Not different times for each of the 450 but by species. We have lots of young plants and some that are much older. We have 10 different varieties and given the rain, lots of rain, they are really coming on. And so, if you visit us, not all will be in bloom, while others are showing great zest. We will start harvesting some of the early bloomers late in the week or early next week. And so, come walk in the fields and enjoy this tiny corner of the world. Oh, we will also be planting some new varieties as well.
